Worst Disaster - Draw Now Done

Godmuvva has finally decided on the best "worst crafting disaster". Godmuvva enjoyed every story, and would like to thank everybody for their participation in her little promotion. Godmuvva was very stressed about choosing just one story. Godmuvva thought all of the disaster stories were great..too great to choose just one......Godmuvva was so stressed she had to go take a little "nip" of her medicinals and call in Da Godfavva. Only one person shared their knitting disaster story with Godmuvva, so Godmuvva has decided to re-run this giveaway shortly......so please wrack your brains all you crazy knitters or crocheters out there and share your disaster stories with Godmuvva.........and then its easy, all you have to do then is watch this space !!!

Meanwhile Godmuvva is off to prepare for the new grandchild who was supposed to come into the world yesterday, but has been postponed now until tomorrow.

Godmuvva's Ready For The New Baby

Godmuvva Has Finally Finished Her Baby Rug......Just In The Nick Of Time!!!!

Godmuvva has been busy putting the finishing touches to "Miss Polly's" Baby Rug......hurrying, hurrying.....Miss Polly comes into the world tomorrow.....Godmuvva was searching for something pretty and special for this baby, and stumbled accross this pattern at Annies Attic. Godmuvva didn't know whether the baby was a boy or a girl when she first started the rug, so the blue was to represent the water. Then Godmuvva found out the baby was a girl and just had to add some pink.........Godmuvva is soooooooo addicted to pink !!!! And being blonde too.......

The Animals In The Ark

Boy Oh Boy What A Week For Da Godmuvva !!!

Golly Goshes, what a week Godmuvva has just experienced! Godmuvva has been busy knitting, knitting, knitting…sometimes at 1.30am till 3.00am…too many deadlines to meet..........Godmuvva is “oh so very pooped” and totally exhausted at the mo…….Godmuvva minded her darling grandson again today, Godmuvva’s darling grandson is like a “blowfly in a bottle”……non stop………Godmuvva sure does need a pep pill !! Yet again!!!! Must be that time of the week for the poor old Godmuvva.………

Isn't She Lovely........

Godmuvva wanted to share her latest member of the family with everybody. When Godmuvva first looked into her lovely “teddy bear” eyes Stevie Wonder’s song sprung straight to mind………Isn’t She Luuuuuuuuvely………Isn’t She BEEEEEEUUUUTIIFUL!!!!

Godmuvva would like to introduce you to Miss Lillian……..That is short for “Miss Lillian B.Bear” of course. Miss Lillian was “created” from Chenille wool, using a combination of soft colours, Pink, Cream and White. Miss Lillian’s lovely 50's style skirt was sewn from a pretty fairy print fat quarter,edged in shocking pink lace and supported by a pale blue tule underskirt, pink lace leggings, and pastel pink pearl laces adorn her cute little feet. Miss Lillian is wearing a lovely pink hand knitted Chenille cardi, trimmed with the cutest pink lace, and delicate “rose style” glass buttons, and adorning a lovely set of soft pink and cream pearls and a soft pink satin bow in her hair (or is that ear??). Miss Lillian’s outfit was created by non other than .........ta da......Da Godmuvva.(And yes, Miss Lillian B.Bear is a blonde !!)

Friday’s Giggle For The Girls!!!

And now for Godmuvva's usual girlie giggle for Friday…..

A man meets a gorgeous blonde woman in a bar. They talk, they connect, they end up leaving together.
They get back to her place, and as she shows him around her apartment, he notices that her bedroom is completely packed with teddy bears.
Hundreds of small bears on a shelf all the way along the floor, medium sized ones on a shelf a little higher and huge bears on the top shelf along the wall.
The man is kind of surprised that this woman would have a collection of teddy bears, especially one that's so extensive, but he decides not to mention this to her.
After a night of passion, as they are lying together in the afterglow, the man rolls over and asks, smiling, "Well, how was it?".
She replied, "You may select any prize from the bottom self".

Pink Bobbles Too Much For Godmuvva's Pink Brain

Oh my golly goshes.......what a weekend for Da Godmuvva.....mvpdd (=most very pregnant darling daughter) bought Godmuvva a special ball of wool from Lincraft, for a treat, while on holidays (thank goodness she only bought one ball!!) Godmuvva spent all weekend wracking her brain to the utmost limit, trying to knit the bobbles so that they would line up under each other in each row......not easy to do........Godmuvva only managed to knit a mess!!

Check closely on the pic of the blue scarf and you will see how neatly this wool can be knitted.......mmmmmmmm............back to the drawing board for Godmuvva......Godmuvva is getting too old for all this pressure...Godmuvva thinks she would prefer wool from the "olden days"....much thinner, but ohhhhh so much easier to knit !! And Godmuvva has more hair too (not pulling it out by the roots!!)

Godmuvva finally finished her scarf last night. Now Miss Lola B (Miss Lola Bear that is) will keep warm and cozy while walking in the icy New England winter frosts........

Godmuvva's Day of Babysitting

Oh my glory be.....no crafting done at Da Godmuvva's Attic today. Godmuvva is soooo tired she is almost beyond repair. Godmuvva spent all day babysitting her dlgs (darling little grandson). Godmuvva spent most of the day pushing her dlgs around town in his stroller and saying to herself "If I keep this up I will look like Elle in no time !!"



A "Flying" Lunch At Godmuvva's
Dlgs needs lunch. Godmuvva sits him in his high chair, goes to warm up his milk and prepare his lunch. Godmuvva asks doh to watch dlgs...doh says, "I just watched him darling.....he just pushed the front of the high chair off and glided to the floor!" Godmuvva's bloodpressure instantly rose to 200!!! Godmuvva's heart is pounding out the front of her chest..(or so it felt like!!) Luckily dlgs fell like a rag doll, not a mark on him, just a few tears of shock.....time for a kiss and a cuddle and some lunch.

Godmuvva Needs a Pep Pill!!
Poor old Godmuvva is totally worn out, dlgs is still full of energy!! Now he wants his Godmuvva "nanibear" to read him story books.......Godmuvva nods off while reading The Three Little Bears to dlgs, and checking out their beds……they look soooo inviting. Godmuvva starts snoring...wakes up with a jolt. Dlgs is smiling at Godmuvva Nanibear and mimicking her snorts !!! Trying his hardest to snore like his loveable Godmuvva Nanibear.

Godmuvva plans a very early night tonight. Godmuvva will hit the hay long before the chookies go to rest in wonderful New England!!!

Godmuvva was sitting, thinking......what could she do with the new "Moda Vera - Believe" wool she had recently purchased from Spotlight......thinking....thinking...what to do with this lovely soft pastel shaded wool... it felt so soft.......suddenly an inspiration hit !!
Godmuvva started this lovely scarf in shell stitch.
And Godmuvva was very impressed with the way the wool automatically crocheted into natural stripes...as the scarf progressed.........one ball crocheted.....one ball to go...Godmuvva thinks it should be long enough.

Specials and New Window Layouts

Godmuvva's been having fun re-organizing her friend's craft shop for the last couple of days. New Window layouts - a baby theme in the small window (Godmuvva is the only person who can fit in this tiny window). And a general knitting/crocheting with wool theme in the main window to help promote the 20% off sale.

Check Out The Yummiest Cakes In Uralla !!!

Notice the cake table outside the Cake Shop next door ?? You can just see the corner of the table and some buns in the right hand corner of the piccie if you look very closely. They have the yummiest looking cakes Godmuvva has ever seen in this cake shop!! And the biggest freckles ever made so my doh tells me. And it's right next door to the craft shop too!! With a very convenient "lounge" directly outside the shop, to sit at while you sample Suzie and Sun's goodies.......(actually its a bench and table but is affectionately referred to by the locals as "the lounge" as lots of people sit there each day, and enjoy each other's company as they try the Cake Shop's sumptious cakes, pies etc.) Godmuvva observed many people sitting and sampling the Cake Shop goodies while she has beenminding the shop. Certainly made Godmuvva's mouth water....continually.....

Colour Co-ordinating The Wool

Such fun sorting out the wool, Godmuvva was like a kid in a candy shop!! Too much temptation !!! Godmuvva has more wool than she will ever use in her whole lifetime......and Godmuvva just kept buying more and more wool !!! Bad move Godmuvva !!! Yep........REAL bad move !!!

A Fresh Morning

And a very good morning to all my crafty followers (all 3 of you so far !!! ... LOL)
Not a nice one here this morning, overcast, but not too cold though. However, Godmuvva don't like the chances of getting her washing dry today. Specially as I won't be here to watch it.

What did I do yesterday, I helped my dvpd (that's darling very pregnant daughter) mind my grandson while she sewed new cot sheets for the new baby, golly it takes it out of me running around and playing with kids now, I was so pooped when they left I could have just fallen in a big heap!!! And stayed there !!! Only 7 weeks to go till we get our new baby.....wooooohoooooo......

What did I do last night? I spent countless hours unpulling, picking up stitches and then trying to pick up where I had "left of" for my darling grandson's jumper, why did I unpull it, well I don't know why but when I went to cast of for the armholes, I was 14 rows short of the back, and I had started to cast off for the front neck, which to me seemed awfully low, so I am thinking that there is a bit of a boo boo in the pattern, as the neck shaping was about 14 rows too soon......anyway, I watched "Packed To The Rafters" and fiddled and fiddled......finally I got it right! Me thinks the sooner I finish this cardi the better....its been dragging on far too long. I can only work on it when I am totally alone, VERY complicated......see piccie below !!

What am I doing today? Well I am looking after my friend's craft shop for a while Her son lives in WA and is having a back op. This shop is NOT a good place for Da Godmuvva to work !!! Too many wools to buy !!! Just like a kid in a candy shop I am !!! Will I ever use all this wool......well I know one thing......it doesn't go off !!! I have loads of it stored in containers in the shed you see. And its still as good as new !! Godmuvva is a self confessed "woolaholic" !!!

Just have to share this one with you before I go......if you need any "money laundering" done, please contact Da Godmuvva......Godmuvva had one of her blonde moments the other day and thought she would IRON the creases out of her $50 note!!! Holey Dooley, they certainly shrink quick !!! My darling OH (other half) says it shrunk down to about $25 worth !! He walked inside and wondered what I was doing with a $50 note in a bowl of warm water, I was trying to stretch it!!! No go !! It's now down at the Bank being "revalued"

I'm a NEW BLOGGER!

A great big hello to all the fellow crafties out there in craftyland...I am VERY new at this, so please bear with me. I may need some help here. I have just had a very welcome and equally surprising visit from my bestest friend who has a terrific website called Calico Cottage. Da Calico Cottage lady alias Judith Tetley has assured me I will (FAST!!) become addicted to blogging.......so here goes......

I have about ten knitting projects on the go, things to be sewn up, things to be finished etc. etc. We are expecting our new baby grandaughter (Miss Polly) in August, and I am trying to finish a beautiful rug for her, and meanwhile I am knitting a hugely complicated cardi for my little grandson, (Mr. Magoo)...this cardi has cables with lots of twists and turns, its the type of knitting

I need to do it alone, without any chatter......, but of course the 'divine one' that I live with can't get that so,......I have been getting up through the night and knitting the odd row or two.......long process though. When I learn how to add piccies on here I will show you the bit and pieces of the cardi I have so far completed.

Golly its breezy here this morning, the sun is trying to shine-one degree this morning, I guess that's better than the minus 6's we have been having.
